Trellis Tower offers one answer to reduce the current problem of declining sparrow population. Loss of food and nesting sites, increased number of predators have all been proposed as potential causes of the decline. Modern architecture and the trend to replace gardens with tarmac have been major causes to this effect. Modern architecture has ignored the eav detail between the roof and walls, which is common nesting place for the sparrow. Trellis tower offers a product that brings a quality to urban gardens, (even the smallest) whilst in the process can begin to help Sparrow population.
The boxes provide housing, whilst the surrounding ivy growth provides insects for feeding. The entrance hole is to a specific size to attract only sparrows, and as a wall mounted object can fit into small urban gardens, and helps escape predators such as cats.
