Children's minds are brilliant at creating adventure and excitement out of something that can be of little interest or neglected. The lion the witch and the table aims to encourage children's development through imaginative play.
Children from the age of two to two and a half begin to discover textures and things through the use of touch, and by the age of 3-4 children's imagination has developed. Childrenís ability to discover through texture and colour is hugely important as it teaches them about what they like and don't like, but more importantly about their surroundings and environment.
Inspired by childrenís stories in which through ëdoorsí we and children transport ourselves to other worlds, the table allows a child to explore a space and trigger their imagination.
